My photography studio has undergone a huge transformation this year – as many of my clients know.
But I wanted to take a moment to have a heart to heart regarding the reasons for the changes ….
Even before I started Colleen Sanders Photography, I had a love for pictures.
I adored freezing a moment in time so that I could always look back and remember it.
Once our first kiddo was born, I didn’t only want to take photos of him, but I wanted images that told our family story.
Our family story included me! I needed to be in the photos with my family instead of behind the camera.
So we hired a photographer to take our family portraits.
And we have every year since.
I am so thankful that we have beautiful images of our entire family.
I made Christmas cards, printed the images as gifts for grandparents at the holidays, shared them on Facebook.
But sadly, the images never made it to my walls, never printed and framed for our home.
Our precious memories are on a CD in a drawer somewhere.
I always had good intentions of printing them, but on the list of things to do, this always got moved down the list.
Pushed off to another day.
And then that day never came, and before I knew it, I have four years worth of family photos sitting on CDs.
I have always loved large wall prints and canvas gallery wraps, but I wasn’t quite sure what size would look best and how they would look in my home with my images.
Does this sound familiar?
Are you like me?
Having good intentions of printing your family memories, but never quite getting around to it?
Wanting to showcase your family memories in your home, but not quite sure what size would look best on your wall?
I vowed to not only change this for our family, but it’s how I run my portrait studio.
I want my clients to have gorgeous prints displayed in their home, so that they can be enjoyed daily.
In my in-person reveal and ordering sessions, clients now have the opportunity to see what their images will look like in their home.
Now there are no doubts, no fears about how it will look in their home.
Here is an example of the canvas gallery wraps I have displayed in our dinning room.
I was able to take a picture of our dinning room wall and preview what our family portraits would look like as canvas gallery wraps before I invested in them.
I was able to see the the sizes of the images and pick the perfect images to display.
No more worrying for me!
Below is our dinning room today.
Our family memories are proudly displayed in our home for all of us to enjoy.
There is not a day that goes by that I don’t love seeing my children’s smiling faces in our family portraits.
I am committed to having our family memories in our home, for us to enjoy everyday – not stuck on the computer or on a CD somewhere.
I have made it my mission as a boutique portrait studio to provide an amazing experience for each of my clients.
Not only will your images be amazing, but I also provide beautiful custom prints and products for you to showcase your favorite images.
