As 2015 comes to a close, I can’t help but reflect on this year.  Like many small business owners, I am looking back on this year – seeing all the goals that I met and what needs to change in the coming year.  All I can say is, wow! This year as been quite an adventure and I have truly accomplished more goals than I ever though possible!  It’s amazing to look at my business and see my dreams coming true.  So here are a few of my accomplishments that I am most proud of …..

• Specialize in High School Seniors & Family Portraits – I realized that my passion lies with working with high school seniors and families. I find knowing these are specialty gives me freedom to not feel pressure to take every potential client who wants photographs of an event or birthday parties. It gives me freedom to pour my heart into what I love!
• Started Offering Custom Products – for me, this has been a game changer.  I absolutely love that my clients get to see their images on display in their home everyday. I have walked away from only offering digital images on a CD and the change has been the best!! I offer such a more complete service for my clients and get so much more personal pleasure out of delivering beautiful artwork to my clients. It feels like Christmas when I get to deliver a custom order! This has also been one of my greatest challenges. I have learned so much in preparing files for print, finding the best professional labs for canvas, prints, metals, and albums.  But this has also been one of the most rewarding areas of my business.  You can read more about why I choose to offer custom products here.
• Created My Website –  this was one of the most complicated things I have tried and took me months to do. There are so many pieces to creating a website and blog. I love that I have my own space to share my heart and my work. I feel like my website expresses me, my brand, and my work. I am so proud of building my own website!
• Created My Senior Model Program – I am so honored to have five fabulous girls on my Senior Model Team this year. I treasure working closely with these girls, encouraging them, and providing them with an incredible experience their senior year.
• Invested in Myself – I took the time this year to go to a fabulous workshop for senior photographers, put on by Holli True in Eugene, Oregon.  I learned so much, met other great photographers, and had a fabulous time.  I want to continue growing and learning, and I am so proud that I was able to participate in such a great workshop.
• Images Featured on Other Social Media Outlets – I had images featured on The Snap Society, The Twelfth Year, and Modern Teen Style IG.  This is so exciting to me and I can’t wait for more next year! It keeps me driven to succeed and it is so nice for others to appreciate my work.

I am so blessed to be doing what I love. I have had the best year and I can’t wait for what 2016 will bring!
