Fall is in the air, which means it’s time for family portraits! I wanted to share my little family with all of you.  I love portraits and I love fall. To me, it is so important to document my kids lives as they grow.  Part of that, is making sure that our family portraits are displayed in our home for my kiddos to see. They adore looking at themselves and pointing out everyone in the image. And it is so amazing how much they change in a year!  These portraits were done last fall. We used them on our Christmas cards and have images up around our home of these. I adore these images so much.  They just speak to my heart – my kiddos big smiles, their blue eyes, and the fact that they still fit in my arms, which won’t be the case for too much longer! But that’s another sob story.

As a mommy I get it, life is busy, it takes time to plan outfits and figure out what colors everyone will wear, what looks good on me and how to arrange everyone’s wardrobe.  I remember stressing that day, hoping that they took a good nap so that they were smiley and in a good mood.  I remember prepping while the kids were sleeping, taking extra time for my makeup, making sure my hair looked good, instead of relaxing while my kids were asleep.  But it is 100% worth it. I wouldn’t change a thing! I love these darling little faces and how I can see how much they’ve grown this year. I would do it all over again in a heart beat to capture these moments. And you bet I will! I am a photographer who also believes in being in the photographs. I want my kids to have pictures with me in them, even if I’m not perfect, even if {insert any excuse you could possibly think of}. It’s still worth it. They’re worth it. Our memories are worth it.
