Miss Jessica wanted in urban feel to her senior portraits while staying right here in the Folsom/El Dorado Hills area so we made it happen!

I have to admit, when Jessica came in for her planning session and she showed me her outfits, I may have squealed with excitement. She nailed glamour while capturing an urban vibe. I absolutely LOVE when girls have their own style and stay true to who they are. Jessica’s outfits were so perfect – she played with different textures from her corduroy jacket paired with Doc Martin black boots to her velvet dress and over the knee boots. She also wore a jean jacket paired with fishnet stockings and a black jumpsuit with a cardigan sweater. When planning outfits, definitely take note of how Jessica planned completely different looks with each outfit.

Glam Makeup

Most of the girls that I work with tend to like more natural makeup with neutral colors and a little eye pop.  But Jessica wanted a bit more glam for her makeup, and wow! I love how intense her eyes are and how they pop in contrast with her porcelain skin.  Keep in mind that makeup shows up about 2 to 3 shades lighter in camera, so when you get your makeup done it will feel like a lot compared to your every day look, but trust me, it will look great in your images.

Location, Location, Location

Jessica’s style was definitely urban glam, so we incorporated locations in downtown Folsom as well as El Dorado Hills. I love that we have rustic brick, stairs, urban ally way, fields of flowers, a rustic bridge, and rooftop at sunset. She got it all! We were able to pop around different locations in the area to give her a unique gallery with tons of different looks. I love to offer my clients such a unique experience and create images that showcase their personality.

Award Winner

We had so much fun together at her session! Jessica is very comfortable in-front of the camera and is interested in modeling.  I loved how relaxed she was, but also how much attitude she brought with her! It made my job so much fun!  The image at the end, that we captured of her in the field of flowers helped me to win The Top 50 Established Photographers in a nationwide competition.  I am so proud to be included with so many amazing photographers!  See more images like Jessica’s in our Urban Gallery.

At her Gallery Reveal, Jessica and her mom loved her images so much!  Jessica took home a gorgeous Album with the corresponding digital images.  She also got her images loaded on her custom phone app.
