January is a time for new goals, new dreams, and new hope.  I always seem to be hopeful in January, like I can accomplish anything I dream of this year.  One thing that I have wanted to update was my logo, design, and colors.  I needed to personalize it to fit me and what my business is about.  What is my business about?  I have a passion for making women and high school seniors feel beautiful and confident.  I want to be a voice that is real and positive.  I watch so many high school students deal with the realities of high school – it’s not always a nice place, people can be mean, and hurtful.  And now, it isn’t only happening in person but all over social media.  I want Colleen Sanders Photography to stand out as being positive, as encouraging, embracing each person’s beauty and uniqueness.  We are not all the same – that is the beauty in each person being unique, being who we were created to be.

Authentic beauty is what has inspired my new look!  I needed my business to be a true reflection of me and what I find beautiful.  For me, navy, fushia and gold are the perfect colors!  I love the luxe feel of navy and gold together – it’s classic and gorgeous.  Plus a little addition of pink just fits me!  

I love to be girly and glamorous!  Part of my design is also clean lines, white space, and a bit minimalist.   All in all, my new look perfectly suites me.  My dear friend, Kelly, helped me with designing a new logo and the details that go with it.  She is so good at branding!  She helped me with coordinating the perfect shades of color and pairing the fonts.  Fonts – wholly molly – there are like 5 million different options for fonts.  Pairing them together is an art!  I love the bold typeface of my logo paired with the sophisticated script font.

My website has also had a little updating, well, actually a lot of updating. I have updated every page – the homepage has my new logo, states the areas that I serve – the greater Sacramento area including El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Granite Bay, Loomis, Roseville, and Rocklin, and includes the social media sites where my images have been featured.  I am so proud to share that my images have been featured on other sites!

2016 is going to be a great year!  I have lot’s of goals and dreams for this year.  Thank you for being part of my dreams!  Being a senior photographer really is a dream come true.  I love working with high school girls and it’s a joy to encourage them and support them through their senior year.
