Another school year flew by and it’s time for Graduation and the Senior Model Team’s Cap and Gown Session. I absolutely love working with my Senior Model Team all year – we have so many fun shoots and hang outs. And it’s so bitter sweet at the end of the year to finish off with their final session, saying good-bye to Senior year and hello to new beginnings. This year we had seniors from Oak Ridge High School, Ponderosa High School, and El Dorado High school.

Dressing for Graduation

The girls did a fantastic job of planning their outfits with the Cap and Gowns. Most of the girls wore the dress they were wearing to Graduation, but some wore a special outfit just for pictures. I always recommend wearing a dress! It’s so feminine and truly completes the look.  What do you look for in a dress for Graduation?  Form fitting!! The graduation gown is large and doesn’t give much shape to anyone. So it’s best to show off your waist and curves with a tighter dress.  A lot of girls love to wear white dresses, which is timeless and always looks fabulous.  But don’t be afraid to try something new! We had some girls wear the school colors – check out Casey in her yellow dress, and Reagan in her navy dress.

Accessories for the Cap and Gown Session are a Must!

Graduation is complete without a celebration!  Bring on the confetti!  I love the classic blowing of the confetti for Cap and Gown sessions. It adds a pop of color and always feels very festive and celebratory.  I love to highlight the tassel and the year of graduation in your school colors. Other ideas for accessories include your Letterman jacket and college gear – a banner is a great idea or school shirt.
